David Coulombe joined the firm in 2002, as a new graduate of Willamette University School of Law. He also served as a law clerk with the firm from 2001 until his admittance to the Oregon State Bar, in 2002. His 15 years of practice include considerable experience and expertise in advising local governments on land use planning, labor and other general municipal matters. As a Deputy City Attorney for the Cities of Corvallis, Philomath and Harrisburg. David regularly attends Planning Commission and Historical Resource Commission hearings and occasional City Council Meetings for municipal clients. In 2016 David was admitted to the Tribal Court Bar of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
David also has extensive civil litigation experience for both government clients and private clients. He advises police departments on matters of criminal procedure and represents local government employers in labor grievance arbitrations. In litigation, David represents cities in matters before the county circuit court, as well as preparing briefs for, and arguing cases to, the Land Use Board of Appeals, Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court. David is a past president of Love, INC, and is of the Corvallis Public School Foundation. Currently he is a member of the Corvallis School District 509J budget commission.
David is also well-versed in contract and business law, real estate and family law, estate planning, guardianships and conservatorships and probate.
